This isn’t the first time Davis and Washington will settle into the roles of their Fences characters.
The two starred along side one another in the 2010 Broadway revival of the production and earned Tony awards for their performances.
Debuting in 1987, Fences won Wilson a Putlizer Prize and in the same year, James Earl Jones and Mary Alice took home Tony Awards for leading actor and featured actress, respectively.
