Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Fans were shocked last week when rapper J. Cole announced that he’d be dropping a new album, titled 4 Your Eyez Only, on December 9. The announcement was followed by a documentary called Eyez, and a pre-order sale.

Now, the album is out and fans are hitting Twitter to share their thoughts on the new release.

It's not fire, it's not revolutionary.
It's simply a musical masterpiece, beautifully composed to perfection. I'm elated.#4youreyezonly

Just waisted my time listening to Jcole's album😪 it wasn't bad, it was just not as good as I'd thought it would've been.

While reviews might be mixed on social media, every song on the album is charting on Apple Music and the album is sitting comfortably at number one. 4 Your Eyez Only sees the emcee teaming up with notable producers like Vinylz, Boi-1da, and Dreamville members Elite and Ron Gilmore.

The album’s release also comes after news that Cole and wife Melissa Heholt welcomed a baby girl, which a new review on iTunes allegedly confirmed.

With a new baby and a new album, J. Cole is ending the year on a high note.
