As if our last day with President Obama as Commander-in-Chief wasn’t agonizing enough, it just got worse.

Instead of Shonda Rhimes’ beloved #TGIT line-up of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder returning from hiatus on Jan. 19, we'll now have to wait until the following week: Jan. 26.

ABC recently announced the setback in order to make way for a 20/20 special titled, America’s First Family: The Trumps Go To Washington. The program is set to air at 10 p.m. ET on the eve of the inauguration.

#TGIT show runner/producer Shonda Rhimes spoke to TVLine about the decision to postpone her programs, saying, “I’m not in charge of scheduling. I’m fine with whatever they want to do. It has nothing to do with my job. I stay in my lane.”

Is it us, or does it feel like the major network is normalizing the divisive behavior of our new president-elect?
