REVOLT’s 2017 Music Conference Honors Queen Latifah, Hosts SZA And Lauryn Hill Shows

Miami is the place to be next month, as REVOLT holds its 2017 Music Conference from Oct 12-15. The four-day event will have informative panel discussions, mixers and concerts all about the growing and ever-changing music industry.

This year, Queen Latifah will be presented with this year’s REVOLT Icon Awardthat goes to industry leaders who have had a lasting impact and unique influence on music. Previous award recipients include Nas, Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Jimmy Iovine. 

“Queen Latifah is a rare talent and one of the most successful artists of all time, flourishing as a rap artist, movie star, talk show host and more,” said Andre Harrell, REVOLT Vice Chairman and Chair of the REVOLT Music Conference. 

“After watching her, for over two decades, transform into one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, we are proud to present Queen Latifah with the REVOLT Icon Award!”

The Girls Trip star who stared her career in music almost thirty years ago has put out seven albums, toured all around the world and she’s won a Golden Globe, two SAGs and an Emmy award.

“I am so honored to receive the REVOLT Icon Award,” Latifah said. “I am gearing up for a great time in Miami!”.

On Oct 14 there will be special performances by Ms. Lauryn Hill, SZA and Daniel Caesar. And on Oct 13 2 Chainz will headline the exclusive Yacht Party aboard the 220 ft. SeaFair Miami with special guests.
