Queen Latifah and Jermaine Dupri are on the hunt to find 2016’s hottest young hip-hop star.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two legends have teamed up for The Rap Game, a new unscripted Lifetimes series that follows around five 12- to 16-year-old emerging rappers on their quest to fame. The series will be executive produced by Latifah, Dupri and Shakim Compere.

“Hip-hop is where Latifah and I came from, so it’s great to be able to produce a television show that is derived from our roots,” Compere said in a statement. “The show is going to be a lot of fun.”
Each week, the pint-sized artists will be receiving guidance from A-listers like Ludacris, Usher, T.I. and Da Brat.
Tune into the series when it premieres on New Year’s Day on Lifetime.
