Paramount Network has released the first official trailer for Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story.

Deadline reports that the six-part docuseries is slated to premiere on July 30 at 10 p.m. Executive produced and co-directed by Jay-Z, the series will explore the tragic death of the unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman and the subsequent rise of resistance in the Black community, specifically, the Black Lives Matter movement.

Martin was killed after being followed by Zimmerman who racially profiled the young Black teen as being a suspicious person in the community. The fatal encounter sparked nationwide outrage and still impacts the culture by continuing to fuel social change.

The minute-long trailer opens with 911 calls on February 26, 2012, the night of Martin’s death, and gives a glimpse of the home videos, photos and news footage that the series will examine. The doc will also feature an in-depth look into the investigation along with interviews by Trayvon’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, Carmelo Anthony, Reverend Al Sharpton and several other relatives and public figures involved in the case.
