The summer heat is making it nearly impossible for us to leave the house, so why sweat through everything thing you own—after going through you 50-leventh outfit of the day—when you can enjoy the A/C and recline on the couch watching a few new Netflix titles?
The streaming service will be adding tons of new film and TV shows in August, including the return of Dear White People and Mindhunter.
Netflix is also dropping a new reality series that we will undoubtedly love, Styling Hollywood, and a comedy featuring Angela Bassett that will plan to watch as soon as it’s released—yes, we are willing to stay awake until 3 a.m. to watch our queen.
It was a tough list to whittle down, but here are seven new titles we’ll be watching in August.
Otherhood – Aug. 2
Angela Bassett joins Felicity Huffman and Patricia Arquette on a road trip to New York to see their sons after they’re forgotten about on Mother’s Day.

Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready – Aug. 13
Tiffany Haddish is sharing six of her favorite comedians with the world for a new special that features a collection of half-hour comedy specials. Hosted and produced by Haddish, Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready will feature April Macie, Chaunté Wayans, Flame Monroe, Tracey Ashley, Aida Rodriguez, and Marlo Williams.
Dear White People: Season Three – Aug. 2
Season three of the Netflix comedy is sure to include more drama, more humor and tons of WTF moments. A new professor shakes things up, Sam quits her radio show, and we’ll find out a little more about the Order of the X.
Mindhunter: Season Two – Aug. 16
Mindhunter heads south this season as it tackles the Atlanta child murders that took place during the late 70s and early 80s. If the second season is anything like the first, prepare for a tense, gripping, horrifying ride.
Sextuplets – Aug. 16
Marlon Wayans will play multiple characters in this new comedy about a father-to-be who finds out that he’s a sextuplet. Traveling with his newfound brother, the pair set out to track down their siblings.
Falling Inn Love – Aug. 29
Christina Milian falls in love in New Zealand. Falling Inn Love sees Milian’s Gabriela heading to the country to update a rustic inn with the help of a contractor.
Styling Hollywood – Aug. 30
See into the lives of stylists and interior designers Jason Bolden and Adair Curtis, the power couple behind JSN Studio, as they work their magic on and off the red carpet.
