Season two of She’s Gotta Have It drops May 24 and it looks like Nola Darling’s life is still a roller coaster of insanity.

Darling, played by DeWanda Wise, has newfound success with her art and her things seem to be on track with her love life, but from the looks of the new season two trailer, which dropped Thursday, that doesn’t last very long.

Article continues after video.

There’s no sign of Lyriq Bent’s Jamie Overstreet in the trailer—it’s still likely he will make an appearance on the show—but Mars (Anthony Ramos) and Ilfenesh Hadera’s Opal are still around.

Season two will see Darling’s success not only influencing, her but those around her as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

How will this journey unfold? Who knows, but the trailer above gives fans a little glimpse of what to expect.

SHE’S GOTTA HAVE IT Nola takes a picture of her lover, Greer (Cleo Anthony).
SHE’S GOTTA HAVE IT Nola meets with her parents, Septima (Joie Lee) and Stokley (Thomas Jefferson Byrd).

Back in March, Wise told ESSENCE that this season will definitely heat up.

“I’m thrilled for you to get to know Nola Darling all over again,” the actress said in a statement. “Spike, Tonya [Lewis Lee], our writers, cast, and crew traveled near and far to bring you something very special.”

Though the film and season one were both set in Lee’s hometown of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, this season Darling and her crew will head beyond the borders of her beloved borough. We can’t wait to see where!
