Since Keenan Thompson made his controversial comments about Saturday Night Live! lacking black female comedians on the show because they aren’t “ready” for the job, debates have ensued over the famed comedy show’s stance.

Last night, SNL featured Kerry Washington, the ninth black woman to ever host the show, and even an appearance from Rev. Al Sharpton to address comments on their lack of diversity. Watch the self-parody in the video above.
