When Lizzo told you she was “100 percent that b—h,” she meant it.
On Monday, the singer took the stage during the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards where she performed a feel-good medley of anthems including “Truth Hurts” and “Good As Hell.”
As soon as Lizzo stepped onto the stage, which featured a jiggly inflatable butt, her energy was contagious as the entire crowd, including Queen Latifah who got out of her seat and danced along.
At one point, the singer told the audience, “I’m tired of the bullshit and I don’t have to know the story to know you’re tired of the bullshit too. It’s so hard trying to love yourself in a world that doesn’t love you back, am I right?! So I want to take this opportunity right now to just feel good as hell. Because you deserve to feel good as hell! We deserve to feel good as hell!”
Near the end of her performance, Lizzo’s dancers ripped off their wigs—probably to symbolize our wigs being snatched by her performance—giving everyone the perfect new wig snatching GIF.
