Netflix is adapting the Broadway hit play American Son with the cast, including Kerry Washington and Stephen Pasquale, set to reprise their roles.

Washington made the announcement Monday while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed her role as Kendra and the play’s gut-wrenching exploration of family and identity as an interracial couple searches for their missing son in a Florida police station.
