Empire has been a wild ride this season and for a moment, it seemed like one of the show’s most beoved characters wouldn’t be returning, but we can all breathe easy now because Jussie Smollett isn’t going anywhere.
Fans went crazy last week when the actor posted a tweet that some interpreted as his farewell, but Smollett quickly cleared up those rumors with a tweet and Instagram video.
Jussie Smollett Hints at Leaving ‘Empire’
The video is captioned, “Listen 2 my words…I’ll see y’all season 3. @gabby3shabby #IAintGoingNoWhere #IAintNoDumbHo #StillIRise #EmpireFinale #empire #PettyNiccasUnite,” and in it Smollett makes it clear that, although he will be working on other projects, he’s definitely returning to the hit show.
So, we can all relax and save all those feelings for what’s sure to be a crazy third season because if there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that the Lyon family definitely knows how to bring the drama.
