Jennifer Hudson Hopes to Return to ‘American Idol’ Finale
Former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson will perform on the upcoming series finale, reports People.
We were first introduced to Jennifer Hudson in 2003 when she auditioned for the reality singing competition in the show’s third season, placing in seventh. Because she is currently starring in The Color Purple on Broadway, she will be pre-taping her performance.

Other alumni appearing on the American Idol finale include Ruben Studdard and Fantasia.
The two-part finale will air Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7.
