Girls Trip did it again!

For the second weekend in a row, the Malcolm D. Lee-directed movie did well in the box office, pulling in a whopping $20 million dollars. This brings its box office total to $65.5 million in just 10 days!

This also confirms, for any remaining doubters, that the Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish and Jada Pinkett Smith comedy is not a one-weekend wonder!

The well-reviewed film, about a girls trip to the ESSENCE Festival, took second place in its opening weekend with $30.4 million, dropping just an impressive 36% from its opening weekend to its second weekend.

So not only is the movie the largest opening of any live-action comedy so far this year, but it has more than tripled the less than $20 million it took to make it.

We’ll take that!
