We love everything about the dramedy series, but here are just a few things worth mentioning.
Claws, TNT’s new hit series about five women working at a nail salon that acts as a front, has been renewed for a second season.
The dramedy, starring Niecy Nash, has quickly become a fan favorite as viewers tune in to see what the ladies will get up to next.
There are a number of things to love about the series, so if you’re not watching, we hope we can convince you to tune it.
The series includes a stellar cast. Niecy Nash leads the gang with Karrueche Tran, Judy Reyes, Carrie Preston, and Jenn Lyon rounding out the ragtag group. Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris plays the ruthless Uncle Daddy with Jack Kesy as his right-hand man and newphew. Harold Perrineau plays Desna’s (Nash) autistic brother, who has a little crush on Virginia (Tran)— and they both convincing owns these roles.
Claws kicks off with a bang and doesn’t seem to slow down, just five episodes into its first season and there’s no sign the show’s action-packed episodes will stop.
It’s A Rare Gem
How often do you see female-led dramedies garnering endless praise and viewership? It’s quite rare to see a TV series that focuses on five crime-committing women become such a success.
The music for the show, which is set in Manatee County, Florida is perfect. With songs from Fifth Harmony, Vince Staples, Monica, Schoolboy Q, Tkay Maidza, and more, it’s a soundtrack we could listen to every day.
