The ‘Black Panther’ Sneak Peek Gets Standing Ovation At Comic Con

If the news coming out of Comic Con is to be believed, fans are going to be more than happy with Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther. Attendees got an exclusive look at the superhero film starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular character, which included an action-packed scene.

Director Ryan Coogler introduced the footage, which the cast was also seeing for the first time, following a Q&A with Boseman, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.

The scene reportedly included Boseman, Nyong’o, and Gurira kicking butt in a high-end poker room.

Before screening the footage, Variety reports Boseman told the audience, “I grew up as a young Black kid in the Bay Area. As I got older I wanted to find a comic book character who looked like I did. To be here … is amazing.”

Fans leapt to their feet after the sneak peek, giving the clip and cast a standing ovation.

If you weren’t already pumped for this film, then get excited. Looks like Marvel’s got another hit on their hands.
