Gabrielle Union is back as Mary Jane Paul, juggling her work life and love life in season 2 of Being Mary Jane. In an extended trailer for the upcoming season, we see Mary Jane taking a long, hard look at herself and her life in the mirror. But it seems like she’s not the only one struggling with self-acceptance. Her family, friends, and lovers also appear observing the “beautifully flawed” versions of themselves.
The hit BET drama, created by Mara Brock Akil, is executive produced and directed by her husband, Salim Akil. The anticipated second season premieres on February 3 and promises to be packed with drama as Mary Jane tries to make changes at her cable network, and decides to conceive a child, even though she’s yet to find a man.
