The Being Mary Jane premiere is right around the corner and the fourth season promises to deliver.
There’s a new love interest on the horizon and he may arrive in the form of a mysterious bar hookup. In our exclusive clip, Mary Jane meets Lee Truitt, portrayed by Chiké Okonkwo, a sexy British comedian who really knows how to rock a turtleneck.
Okonkwo, who played Will in The Birth of a Nation, is expected to be around for a while. His character relentlessly pursues Mary Jane in order to prove he’s not a one night stand, and MJ finds herself falling for him.
Season four of the series sees MJ in New York City, going head-to-head with an old nemesis and pursuing the career she’s always wanted. Michael Ealy and Valarie Pettiford also join the cast.
So, will Lee Truitt be the man MJ always dreamed of? We’ll just have to wait and see. The fourth season of Being Mary Jane premieres January 10 at 9 p.m. on BET.
