After a fan tweeted that he really wanted to hear Missy Elliott and SZA team up on a track, both artists weighed in to give fans hope that it might actually happen.
Missy said the idea sounded “like a scorcher banger” to her, and SZA called the suggestion a “dangerous dream.”
Missy Elliott has been pushing the musical envelop for decades, producing innovative tracks for artists like Aaliyah, Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige. Meanwhile, since bursting on the scene in 2012, SZA’s latest project, Ctrl received 5 Grammy nominations and established the singer-songwriter as growing force in the industry.
If the pair do connect on a project it will be a boon for music fans, who’ve been blessed with dope releases from both artists in the past year.
