Recently, actress Tiffany Haddish, who’s starring in the upcoming Girls Trip with Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall, was a guest on ESSENCE’s Yes, Girl! podcast, and Haddish revealed that she once took Will and Jada Pinkett Smith on a Groupon date!

Haddish shared that Pinkett Smith invited her out to dinner with her husband while he was in town, and she “put on her best Facebook dress.” They went to La Petit Grocery In New Orleans for dinner, and she mentioned that the portions were very small. She complained about the size and Smith said, “Tiff it’s OK. You can have as many orders as you want. We got this.”

As they wrapped up dinner, Pinkett Smith asked Haddish what she was doing the next day, and Haddish mentioned she had a Groupon to go on a swamp tour. When she told Pinkett Smith she was going alone, Pinkett Smith insisted Haddish couldn’t go by herself and offered that she and Smith could join Haddish since they didn’t have plans.

Haddish revealed that she didn’t think the famous couple would really join her, but Pinkett Smith called that afternoon to ask if she was still going and asked Haddish to come meet her and Smith at the hotel so they could all go together.

Haddish told Pinkett Smith, “Since y’all got dinner last night, I’m going to get y’all Groupon too. Don’t worry, it’s all on me!” After driving her rental car to their hotel, Haddish revealed the couple actually rode with her to the tour.

When they got to the swamp tour, Pinkett Smith asked Haddish why there were other people there and asked “What the f*** is a Groupon?!” When Haddish explained to Pinkett Smith what a Groupon actually was, she said, “I thought it meant you had your own boat that you could take a group of people on!”

On the following day, Pinkett Smith told Haddish she was “on the steering wheel like an old lady”, and Haddish hilariously admitted she was actually nervous driving the couple and though, “You don’t want to be the chick on TMZ that killed the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’.”

Talk about a memorable and hilarious story! Fun times indeed.
