On November 26, stunning beauty queen Davina Bennett captured the hearts of the world when she made her Miss Universe Pageant debut, representing for her home island of Jamaica and rocking a flawless natural afro in the process.
Wanting to share some of the love she’d received with other women of color who also wear their afros proudly everyday, Davina took to her personal Instagram page to launch #AfroFriday. To get other women involved in the movement, she encouraged the ladies to share pics of themselves rocking their ‘fros and caption it using the #AfroFriday hashtag.
