There isn’t a fashionista who doesn’t look forward to red carpet fashion, especially for an event as star-studded as the B.E.T Awards. But many of us can agree, it’s easy for these soirées to inspire a number of predictable looks. However, there’s bound to be a handrail of stars ready to take on the task of arriving in something so stand out, it’s bound to be the talk of the night. Think Coi Leray’s 2022 B.E.T. Awards outfit, which showcased the musician’s take on the Canadian tuxedo. But as fresh as the look may have been on the carpet, it’s pretty easy to recreate with just a few key pieces.
Coi Leray’s ensemble for the night may have come straight off the runway, but its key elements are pieces you either already have in your closet, or can easily acquire on a budget. First and foremost, the look comes with the summer’s mini skirt trend front and center, coupled with oversized elements by way of a denim blazer and white button down top.
