‘Young And The Restless’ Star Kristoff St. John Dead At 52

Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John has died. He was 52, According to TMZ, the actor’s body was found in his San Fernando Valley home after a friend went to check on him. Paramedics later announced him dead at the scene.  A cause of death has yet to be released. Many fans of the long-running daytime television soap have grown up with St. John, who has played Neil Winter since 1991. The role earned him a number of nominations and awards. In 2017, St. John threatened to kill himself with a gun. The police were forced to place him under a 72-hour hold for psychiatric evaluation. His late son, Julian, took his own life in 2014 while he was a patient at a mental health facility. The 24-year-old was diagnosed with depression when he was a child and has grappled with schizophrenia since he was 18. He went through bouts of drug addiction and homelessness. St. John acknowledged that he was still struggling with the tragedy in his last retweet. The tweet acknowledged how hard it is for a parent to grieve their child.
