We go bonkers over braids! So when actress Yara Shahidi debuted a head full of ombré plaits via her Instagram account on Monday we all squealed with delight.
The 16-year-old star was captured rocking the dynamic ‘do while taping an episode of her hit show “Blackish” at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Although we adore Shahidi’s halo of carefree curls these braids are the next best thing. The black, violet and grey-hued box braids — created by “Blackish” resident hairstylist Sparkle — are perfectly formed from rows of sleek cornrows and beautifully cascade from a high ponytail.
We will most definitely be adding these look to our list of must-try hairstyles.
