The View is entering its 21st season and while some speculated that co-host Whoopi Goldberg would not return, the comedian has signed on for another season.

According to Deadline, a source close to the show confirmed that Goldberg would be back for another season. The co-host had previously stated that she wasn’t so sure about returning to the show— causing some confusion.

During a conversation with Wendy Williams, she said about leaving the show, “I have to do it, baby, because I have to go and grow. This was great and I love doing it, but it’s been a while and they’re in their 20th season. They did this without me.”

Well, the show just wouldn’t be the same without Goldberg, so we’re glad to hear she’s coming back.

On Friday (Aug 4), Goldberg celebrated the 25th anniversary of Sister Act. For the occasion she greeted fans during a lower Manhattan outdoor showing of the classic comedy. In June Goldberg was put on the Academy Awards’ board of governors election —one of 17 seats— that vote on winners.
