As a fashion editor for Essence.com I live for show-stopping looks, so obviously Gabrielle Union is one of my top style crushes. Seriously, I find it hard not to put her in our 10 best-dressed line up every week.
So imagine how thrilled I was when I spotted the flawless actress outside of her hubby Dwyane Wade’s Tie Bar event yesterday in New York City. Naturally, she was giving all of Soho life while rocking a gorgeous gilded robe and a fierce black cut-out jumpsuit.
I couldn’t contain myself and immediately asked her to stunt for the camera, to which she happliy obliged.

“I’m going to the Beyonce concert tonight,” she announced as she twirled and posed. “They not ready, Beyonce is, but they’re not.”
It was impossible not to bring out my inner hype (wo)man skills as I shamelessy egged her on.
Before being whisked off to the concert, she let me know that she had a pair of Adidas shell toe sneakers in the car.
I couldn’t help but to belt out an extended “Yassssssss” because nobody has time to be in heels while simultaniously trying to get your entire life to Queen Bey.
Clearly, Gabrielle gets it.
The moral of the story? There is no woman that can resist going all out for Beyonce and Gabrielle Union is definitely in formation.
