Waka Flocka Flame canceled his show at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte following a deadly campus shooting on Tuesday that left two dead and four injured.

Waka, whose birth name is Juaquin James Malphurs, was supposed to give a free concert at the school’s football stadium Tuesday night and canceled the performance as soon as he heard the news.

“I’m safe y’all,” he told fans in a tweet soon after the shooting.

“I pray all my fans are safe and OK! [Not] sure what’s going on, I just landed in Charlotte to [the] news!” he also wrote in an Instagram story. “I will not be able to perform or even make it to the venue. Please to all my supporters and followers be safe.”

According to The New York Times, a man with a pistol walked into a classroom on the last day of classes and opened fire. One person is currently in police custody following the shooting.
