The talent was inspired by her time on The Young and the Restless to write and direct this TV movie.
A passion project actress and director, Victoria Rowell has been working on since 2013 is finally coming into fruition. The former soap opera star talked about The Rich and the Ruthless with ESSENCE three years ago as a comedic drama that pulled from her days on The Young and the Restless.
"For the first time on a show, you are going to see how a Black actress in Hollywood is juggling the red-carpet life, but also the real-deal life of a family in Mississippi," she said about the project.
On Monday, Rowell gave an update on the project with a photo posted to Instagram with actor, Robert Ri'chard. "Thrilling to direct/and be acting opposite actor, Robert Ri'chard again," she captioned the photo.
