Toni Braxton has broken her silence after her niece, Lauren Braxton, died Monday at the age of 24.
Lauren Braxton was the daughter of Toni Braxton’s younger brother, Michael. The only brother in the famous Braxton clan said that his daughter passed away Monday due to issues related to a heart condition.
On Wednesday, Toni briefly opened up about the loss.
“R.I.P to my amazing niece Lauren ‘Lo Lo’ Braxton,” the singer wrote in a post on Instagram. “I’m still in disbelief and so very heartbroken. Love you…always Auntie ‘Te Te.'”
Law enforcement officials shared Tuesday that Lauren was pronounced dead on the scene, in her Maryland home, after paramedics found her unresponsive.
Towanda and Trina Braxton also remembered their niece with heartfelt posts on social media, with Towanda calling Lauren a “beautiful loving angel.”
