Tomi Lahren Claimed Beyoncé Was 'Police-Hating.' The Beyhive Obviously Wasn't Having It

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Tomi Lahren may have just met her match with the Beyhive.

The right-wing Fox News analyst has made her name ruffling feathers on social media, specifically by excoriating the Black Lives Matter movement. Therefore, it was no surprise that she had thoughts about Colin Kaepernick being awarded with Sports Illustrated’s Muhammad Ali Legacy Award.

The award is given by the magazine to “individuals whose dedication to the ideals of sportsmanship has spanned decades and whose career in athletics has directly or indirectly impacted the world.” However, Lahren decided to throw shade at Kaepernick and Beyonce, who presented him with the award on Thursday.

“Police-hating Beyoncé presents police and America-hating Kappy with a ‘legacy’ award,” she captioned under a photo of Beyonce and Kaepernick at the ceremony. This is how far we’ve fallen. Wow.”

And the Beyhive’s stingers were immediately on alert!

@TomiLahren think of all Beyoncé’s achievements and then remember you’re still on your parents insurance #bloop pic.twitter.com/l7Ut4w6pbs

The Beyoncé jealousy is real. 😂 Perhaps because she is a beautiful, successful, talented woman and isn't on her parent's insurance?

YOU are an example of how far we’ve fallen.

Lahren’s comments also seemed to awake one of Beyonce’s most loyal fans: her mother Tina Lawson.

Beyonce’s mother took to her Instagram to share a transcript of Beyonce’s speech and to explain that protesting injustice does not make you “unAmerican.”

“It’s very interesting that in Beyoncé speech She makes it crystal clear that Mr. Kaepernick nor anyone else was disrespecting our soldiers or all police officers, who protect us every day and we have the utmost respect for. Or the Flag,” she wrote. “Its interesting that I don’t see that printed as often as the other part which i have read over and over.”

She finished: “My prayer is that this will inspire at least one person to please stand up today to injustice !!!”
