Terry Crews may be a successful actor with plenty of money in the bank, but that doesn’t mean he’s not the frugal type.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star posted a picture revealing his secret to saving a few dollars — the now-viral image of his Everybody Hates Chris character Julius in his wallet. The caption?

“I keep this pic of myself in my wallet so I can see it when I’m about to waste money on things I don’t need lol.”

Terry’s character, Julius, was a frugal, don’t-spend-money-unless-we-absolutely-have-to kind of man, so the image is great reminder of differentiating between his real wants and needs.

Crews was inspired to share his financial savvy tip after fan and college student Daniel Cabral shared the same image of Julius, saying, “I keep this pic of Terry Crews in my wallet so I can see it when I’m about to waste money on things I don’t need Iol.”

Daniel told BuzzFeed, that he decided to place the Terry’s image in his wallet after losing his ID.

“I was thinking, ‘What I should put there?’” he said, before revealing he once inexplicably spent $30 on pineapple. “And I thought I should start saving money since I don’t have a job, and who’s a better financial advisor than Terry Crews?”

So if you’re looking for a way to be more frugal, just think of Terry Crews.
