Legendary TV personality Dick Clark has died at age 82 after suffering a massive heart attack, reports PEOPLE. Affectionately known as “America’s Oldest Teenager,” Clark created the iconic television show, American Bandstand, which often featured performances by the biggest names in music.
Here, Clark welcomes the Jackson 5 to his stage for a performance of their hit, “Shake Your Body.” Premiered during the height of Jim Crow, Clark’s American Bandstand was considered daring for allowing Blacks on the show to dance alongside Whites.
Clark is survived by his wife Kari Clark.
