The 2013 Black Girls Rock! honorees have been announced and Queen Latifah, Patti LaBelle and famed dancer Misty Copeland are among the chosen few.

Black Girls Rock! creator Beverly Bond announced the honorees Monday. Fellow powerful, bold and creative women being honored this year at include Venus Williams, Mara Brock-Akil, community activist Ameena Matthews and child advocate Marian Wright Elderman.

The ceremony will be held at New Jersey’s Performing Arts Center in Newark at the end of October. The show will air on BET on November 3rd.

Last year’s talented duo Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King will return to host the event.
