Some of you may have been tweeting @BarackObama with queries about the economy or job growth ever since he was elected. Now, you might get the chance to hear a response.

Today, for the first time, the President will answer questions in a Twitter Town Hall. To participate, tweet questions using the hashtag #AskObama. At 2 p.m., watch President Obama respond live on WhiteHouse.gov.

Twitter has been collecting questions ever since June 30 and will continue to do so in real-time during the event. Highly active users (called “curators”) will help choose questions and comments for the President.

Twitter Co-Founder Jack Dorsey will moderate today’s Town Hall in front of an audience of 140 people (a play on Twitter’s 140-character limit). Thirty people have been chosen through the White House Tweet Up to live-tweet what they see and what it’s like to be at the event. Through this project, Twitter users who follow @WhiteHouse and register at Whitehouse.gov/tweetup will be selected at random to attend future White House functions and share ideas with administration officials.

Follow @townhall for more information.

What will you ask the President during today’s Town Hall?
