The rapper was awarded the key to her hometown, which was presented by Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, who praised Minaj for her "outstanding career achievements in music.'
Minaj was unable to receive the award in person, but wrote on Instagram, "What a pleasant surprise? Wish I was there to receive it. Thank you so much! #MelindaKatz hopefully we can meet b4 I fly out again."
Minaj performed at the inaugural NBA Awards Monday night, which explans why she couldn't pick up her key in person.
Minaj has also been busy working, appearing on 2 Chainz's recent Pretty Girls Like Trap Music and DJ Khaled's Grateful.
