Minaj has built a whole career around being outspoken, particularly about the (mis)treatment of women in the entertainment industry. Most recently, her name has been in people's mouths after she called out the whitewashing of the MTV Video Music Awards. "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year," she tweeted in a series of messages. "When the 'other' girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination. If I was a different 'kind' of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well."

Nicki Minaj's 11,500 square foot home in Los Angeles was reportedly burglarized earlier this week while she was out-of-town. Sources say the person(s) "knocked over and flipped furniture" and might have been looking for something specific. Authorities reported clear signs of forced entry and say "jewelry and other property" was taken.

According to TMZ, sources connected to the case say the damage looks like it was personal. The thieves vandalized certain items in the house, destroyed picture frames, perfume bottles, furniture... and even cut up Nicki's clothing.

No word on suspects as of yet, but surveillance tape is being examined.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old has been spending time with Lil Wayne and Drake this week. The crew reunited after her past relationship with Meek Mill caused a riff between the label mates. She also penned a sweet message to Blue Ivy following the news of Beyoncé's pregnancy.

Nicki seems to be doing well––despite the burglary incident.
