Nicki Minaj’s latest album “Queen” dropped Friday, and one song, in particular, is catching the public’s attention. In “Barbie Dreams”, Nicki name drops some of the industry’s biggest names, while seemingly putting them on blast. Of her ex Meek Mill, she raps that “he still be in my DMs, I be having to duck him.” Of Young Thug, she says she that she “caught him in my dressing rooms stealing dresses and sh–” Of Drake, she says she never knows “if the p*** wet or if he’s crying and sh–” And of DJ Khaled, she raps that she had to “cancel” him because “ain’t no fat n—a telling me what he ain’t eating.” Indeed, by the time the song is done, it feels like the Head Barb has gotten some things off her chest. But according to Nicki, it was all in good fun. “You guys know ‘Barbie Dreams’ is not a diss, right?,” she said on Apple’s Beats 1 radio the same night the album dropped. “It’s just some funny sh–. I love them. I said things about people who I know can take a joke and won’t be emotional about it.” “Reading the reactions to ‘Barbie Dreams’ is f—ing hilarious,” she continued once the song dropped. “Everyone is saying how disrespectful ‘Barbie Dreams’ is, and that’s why I f—ing love it.” She also took to her Twitter to explain, writing that “[the song] isn’t a diss. Yikes.”
