Listen up everyone, Nick Cannon’s divorce from ex-wife Mariah Carey may be final today, but don’t think he’s back on the hunt for love. Cannon says he’s a single man and dating again is not his top priority.
The newly divorced dad set the record straight telling ESSENCE that despite various rumors swirling that he’s dating (particularly TLC’s Chili), he isn’t in a relationship with anyone at all–famous or otherwise.
“I am not dating anybody,” shared Cannon who has just launched a new short film he shot with the Diamond Producers Association (DPA) titled Why Real Is Rare about millennial couples who think they’ve found an authentic life changing love. “I am single as a slice of cheese. That’s the thing, people see me with women and I’m like, ‘No, that’s my friend.'”

In early summer 2016, rumors that Cannon and Chilli were an item came about when they were seen snuggled up together following a TLC performance. Their steamy chemistry in Nick’s music video for the song, “If I Was Your Man,” didn’t help slow down talk that the pair were more than friends.
Cannon says his future will be devoted to co-parenting and focusing on becoming a better man. “I will not be in a relationship anytime soon because I’m working on myself.” Well, there you have it.
