ESSENCE.com’s “New and Next” column spotlights the brightest new talents we think you should know. This week we meet singer/ songwriter Ta’j.
Ta’j might be a newcomer to the music scene but he’s no stranger to crowd pleasing. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and his favorite singers, the North Carolina native brings an eclectic new sound that caters to just about everyone.
“I like to describe my music as the best of both worlds,” he says. “You’re getting a little bit of old-school and you’re getting a little bit of new school and we bring it together to make everybody happy.”
