Rapper Mystikal has turned himself in after reportedly raping a woman in Shreveport, Louisiana in October 2016.
The rapper turned himself in, was arrested, and charged with rape by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department. According to TMZ, Mystikal seemed pretty calm as he turned himself in, telling the paparazzi, “I just want to get this behind me.”
KSLA reported earlier this week that Shreveport Police were looking for the rapper after arresting another man, Averweone Holman, for the alleged sexual assault.
Police are also looking for one more suspect, Tenichia Wafford, who allegedly attempted to get the victim to drop the charges. The suspect shared a video with TMZ accusing the victim of lying.
This isn’t the first time Mystikal has faced charges of this kind.
In 2003, the rapper plead guilty to sexual battery and extortion. He was released in 2010 and made to register as a sex offender in the state of Louisiana.
Mystikal is being held on a $2 million bond.
