Oprah Winfrey traveled to Barbados to interview pop singer Rihanna for the next episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter.
Winfrey admitted she’d had her own ideas of Rihanna from listening to her music and watching her videos. “I thought she was going to be kind of a badass,” said Oprah. “Nothing could have been farther from the truth.”
Rihanna gave Oprah a tour of the place she once called home. “When we went back to the neighborhood this reaction surprised me,” Winfrey said. “Because it wasn’t like some high superstar, mega star, pop star had arrived in the neighborhood; it was just Robyn as though she had gone to the grocery and came back.”
The 24-year old, who recently topped Forbes list of social media superstars, said she’s “super-duper afraid of the pedestal that comes with fame.”
