Today we’re remembering a shining star taken too soon from us. Aayliah Dana Houghton would have turned 34 today, but was tragically killed in a plane crash on August 25, 2001.
Many of her fellow superstars are tweeting about her and wishing her a very happy birthday. LeToya Luckett tweeted, “Happy Burfday Aaliyah! Miss U baby girl! Love you always.” Diddy took it a step further and shared an old photo of the fallen star saying, “Happy Birthday To The Beautiful Aaliyah!” Missy Elliot, Aaliyah’s close friend said, “We miss u Aaliyah! It’s not a day go pass we don’t think of u & how your music still have a impact on the World! RipBabygirl.”
In honor of her memory, we’re replaying her last video, “Rock the Boat.” She was a vision of beauty and so at peace, and it shows. We miss you, Aaliyah!
