If you’ve been keeping an eye on American Idol, you know the competition is getting stiff. In fact, last night’s all-female episode showcased a rare moment for the not-so-impressed judges. Houston, Texas contestant Amber Holcomb’s performance of “My Funny Valentine” brought them to their feet in a standing ovation. The 18-year-old’s vocal performance helped her land a spot in the coveted top 20—which America will narow down week after week.
