The internet released a collective “aaaawwww” on Saturday after Michelle Obama tweeted a touching birthday tribute to her mother.
The former First Lady shared an adorable throwback pic to celebrate the bornday of the former First Grandmother Marian Shields Robinson.
“Happy Birthday Mom!” she wrote. “ Your unconditional love has made me who I am today. You are my rock. My [heart].”
She added: “ I’ll always be your Miche. I love you.”
The throwback photo shows a bashful Michelle staring at the camera with her mother. The mother-daughter resemblance, especially today, is uncanny.
Robinson left her life in Chicago to move into the White House with the Obamas. She was a steadying force throughout the eight years the First Family was in the White House.
