Michael B. Jordan will play the villain Erik Killmonger, a martial arts master, in Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther film.
Here’s a little bit of backstory for those who didn’t read the comic: Killmonger’s family was exiled from Wakanda by Black Panther, so Killmonger has sworn revenge. *Cue dramatic music*
The announcement was made on Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con. While we’re accustomed to rooting for Michael Bae Jordan as the protagonist in most of his films, his new venture as a villain should make for an exciting change.
