Miami Heat's DJ Irie On His Favorite Christmas Songs

The Miami Heat's go-to DJ gets into the holiday spirit.

Although global warming may make it feel more like early spring than late fall in some parts of the world, Christmas is right around the corner.

One man who never lets a lack of chilly weather halt is holiday spirit is DJ Irie. As the official DJ for the Miami Heat, the SKAM artist and entrepreneur is used to turning up the heat for the holidays.

With so many classic Christmas carols in rotation around this time of year, we asked DJ Irie to share his personal top three.

1. “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway

“This is the defining song of the holiday season for me. Growing up as a kid my parents would always blast this song throughout the house every holiday season, so for me it just became synonymous with the holidays.”

2. “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano

“I’m a Miami boy so you know I have a special appreciation for this Spanglish holiday anthem! You hear this song all around Miami during the holiday season.”
