Mama Lynch did not come to play games.
On Monday, Donald Trump fired off a tweet criticizing Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch for standing during Mexcio’s national anthem and not the US anthem.
Trump called for Lynch’s suspension and blasted the NFL for its ratings, “Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.”
Earlier this year, Lynch joined Colin Kaepernick and other NFL stars in protesting the national anthem in order to bring awareness to systemic injustice and inequality in the US, later telling Conan O’Brien, “I’d rather see him [Kaepernick] take a knee than stand up, put his hands up and get murdered.”
And, Lynch has his mom’s full support in kneeling with Kaepernick. Mama Lynch roasted Trump with a tweet of her own that poked fun at his attempt to purchase the Buffalo Bills in 2014, an offer that fell through because Trump didn’t have enough cash.
Sick burn, Mama Lynch! Trump might want to leave Marshawn Lynch alone from now on.
