Lee Thompson Young kicked off his television career in 1998 with a starring role in the Disney Channel’s The Famous Jett Jackson. Not only was Young charming and funny, but he had serious acting chops as well. Check him out opposite Nigel Shawn Williams.
Young was a star in the making in this short McDonald’s commercial from 1999. Although his TV father may have taken his Big Mac, Young stole the spotlight.
In 2009, Young appeared in three episodes of the hit TV series Scrubs opposite Donald Faison, Zach Braff and Judy Reyes. Although his storyline was short lived, Young’s presence in the hospital caused a stir amongst the doctors, even earning him the title “the male Halle Berry.”
Most recently, Young landed a role as Detective Barry Frost in the TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles. Frost, along with his other crime-fighting partners, work to solve various crimes in Boston. Check out this clip of Young getting to the bottom of things.
