LeBron James responded Friday to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham’s insult that he should just “shut up and dribble” after the NBA All-Star recently criticized President Donald Trump.

James posted an Instagram image of neon lights that read “I am more than an athlete” with the caption #wewillnotshutupanddribble.

Ingraham devoted a whole segment of her Fox News show this week to criticizing James for saying Trump didn’t understand the nation’s citizens in an  interview alongside Kevin Durant.

“The No. 1 job in America, the point of person, is someone who doesn't understand the people, and really don't give a f—- about the people,” James said.

Ingraham used her segment to tell James he had no credibility talking about politics.

“It's always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball.” She concluded the segment by saying James should instead, “Shut up and dribble.”

Her words were immediately derided on social media with many athletes coming to James’ defense.
