“I think when it comes, it will be right. I’m definitely not turning my nose up to the opportunity,” the comedian says.
It looks like Kevin Hart has the hosting bug. Just a few days ago, Hart was co-hosting the MTV Awards with his Central Intelligence co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and now he’s aspiring to follow in the steps of comedian Chris Rock in hosting the Oscars.
“I think in time it will come,” Hart tells E! News at CinemaCon when asked about possibly hosting the Academy Awards. “I think when it comes, it will be right. I’m definitely not turning my nose up to the opportunity.”
“I think it’s a stage and I think as a comedian it’s something that you want to say you did in your career,” he continued. “So when I do, trust me I will make my presence felt. And I think once again, the timing will be right. I’m not in a rush, I’m not going anywhere.”
“We know eventually it’s going to happen,” Hart said. “I’m just being patient about it, that’s all.”
Kevin Hart may be giving up his stand-up comedy career, but it won’t be the last we see of him.
